R Park Inspires our Future Poets

Schoolkids from Munger Mountain Elementary School embarked on a day of discovery and creativity at R Park. With notecards and pencils in hand, they roamed around the 40-acre park seeking out sources of inspiration. Read two of their poems below:

El Parque de la Vida

When I’m at R park I am Joyful
Hay muchas cosas que explorar
R Park is life
R Park is nice
R Park is releasing
Mama Mimi makes me happy
Mama Mimi makes me adventurous
Mi corazón se derrite cuando veo la naturaleza
El agua es calmada y relente
R Park is worth Savoring

Rocks on water, trees on land, this is where it all began

R Park is a sign of life the piece of water, the piece of land sometimes I
can feel the sand

Blazing hot sun or freezing cold snow R Park is the place to go

The sound of water, wind and animal is the sound of life
