Tom Segerstrom

Tom joined the Land Trust in June of 2000. He received Bachelors and Masters degrees in Fish and Wildlife Management with a minor in Range Science from Montana State University. Tom has worked as a biologist for the Forest Service, BLM, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and AMAX Coal Company prior to serving as a district biologist for Wyoming Game and Fish Department for six years. In 1987, Tom founded the Great Plains Wildlife Institute (GPWI), a successful ecotourism business that operated in Jackson Hole until 1999. GPWI is now part of the Teton Science School. Tom's wife, Jan, oversees the public school libraries for Teton County, and they spend their leisure time hiking, camping, hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, roller blading, playing tennis, doing wildlife research projects and working on farms.
