Ellen joined the Land Trust in October 2008. She grew up in the red rock country of Utah on a farm and sheep ranch, and moved to Dubois in 1987. Her knowledge of the community comes from years of volunteering and serving on boards and panels, and raising two Dubois High School graduates who hunt, fish and ride. For 15 years she was the sales manager of Equitours, a Dubois-based agency, marketing horseback riding trips around the world. Ellen says Dubois is the ideal place to pursue her two passions: horse riding and backpacking, and an ever–challenging location for her love of gardening.
