Linda Aurelio

Linda was raised in Upstate New York, gaining an early appreciation of the great outdoors and deep snowstorms.

While working at GW Hospital in Washington DC as Chief of Ultrasound, she earned both her BS and MHA at George Washington University. Upon completing her Masters, she founded and ran Sonographic Service Inc. for the next 18 years. SSI provided temporary medical staffing to hospitals and offices around the country, and also provided her the balance of work and family.

After residing in several states across the country, Linda was happy to settle in the Bay Area of California with her husband Dick and their four children. Based there since 1991, they spent many a weekend driving to Tahoe to ski or hike, depending on the season.

Linda and Dick began coming to Jackson in the 80s with the goal to retire here and become “ski bums” after they were able to leave their busy business lives behind and retire. It was a dream fulfilled when they had the chance to move here in 2003. The vast open spaces, wildlife, and world class skiing were the draw for them. (In Linda’s opinion, you won’t find that combination in any other mountain town in the US). They continue to spend the shoulder seasons in CA, close to their children, and their beautiful organic lavender farm.

Linda reflects, “The JH Land Trust holds a special meaning for me. Knowing they are the stewards to guide Jackson and surrounding areas, holds a powerful message that our open space will remain untouched for both wildlife and residents alike. There is no place I’d rather be, and I hope to help protect and encourage others to protect our community together.”
